Luke 9:2.

The vision

In March 1997 God revealed a 4-phase strategy to cover our city, to bless our neighbours, send to the nation and touch the world. To achieve this includes:

1. Establishing a Church that enjoysworshipping the Lord with songs and ministering to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, permitting the gifts of the Holy Spirit to operate as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12-14.

2. Establishing a Discipleship Training Centre to equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

3. Affecting the community spiritually, physically, educationally and morally through: Evangelism, Bible Studies, Christian Seminars, Community Projects, Day Care Centres, Christian School, fellowship, practical 'hands on' help, teaching, training and counselling.

Jeremiah 6:16 (NASB) says, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; and you will find rest for your souls.”’ The Hebrew expression for ‘ancient paths’, netivot ‘olam, can also mean ‘perpetual paths’, indicating a way of faith and life which always has the future and eternity in mind.

The Hebrew Prophets often called for a return of God’s people to Biblical truth and life; the ancient paths.

In keeping with Habakkuk 2:2 and 3, the vision is written and referred to annually to check progress. As God unfolds His strategy to make the vision reality, new goals are set and God releases gifting to get the job done.

Much that is found in church today is the product of man rather than the Word of God, resulting in man wandering away from God and becoming captive to the world and its system of idolatry.

The times of Elijah and Elisha were great turning-points in periods of crisis during the history of Israel. God raised up Elijah to be the breaker-up of the way, and Elisha to be the restorer of the ‘ancient paths’. The very circumstances of our time and the state of its people, point to the necessity of the revival of the ancient ‘order’ and a restoration of biblical truths vital for our survival.
